Tribal Underground, Bakersfields Tribal Fusion Bellydance Troupe is honored to once again present Exotica Bellydance Festival. Bringing the best of the best in the bellydance dance community to the stage, at the beautifully renovated historic Nile Bar and Grill.
The ladies of Tribal Underground have come back stronger than ever to bring this gala to the arts and entertainment venue of Southern California. Exotica at the Nile is set to be one of Californias most elegant and spellbinding event of the new year. Exotica is the star of Troupe Tribal Undergrounds dancing career. With the goal being to unite the tribes of California, in an evening of exotic and deliciously seductive bellydancing.
The original Exotica boasted dancers such as Ultra Gypsy,Clandestine , DevDasi, Black Sheep Bellydance, Tempest, and Urban Tribal . Bakersfield will be caught off guard once more, by the sultry talents of JILL PARKER (of Ultra Gypsy) and the Fox Glove Review. Our newest production will be enchanted by the mysterious MARJHANI, Oasis dance studios up and coming beauty, EDENIA and the ever inspiring dancers of TABU and DESERT LOTUS. And coming to grace the stage as well once more is MAHALIAof Malice Dreaming. And our newest edition to the show is MONICA FERNANDEZ of Underworld Bellydance DVD
This year’s “Exotica at the Nile” is dedicated to all who desire to be on the stage in a tantalizing, untraditional, art deco, style. The theatrical, the dark beauty of the gothic, tribal and tribal fusion style, and the colorfulness of the cabaret, are all welcome to join us and show your passion to perform at this unique festival.
Come and shop the wares of vendors from all over California, and taste the local fares of Bakersfield. While all ages of performers are welcome, please be aware, this is a 21 and over event. The cocktail bar will be open throughout the show and our after party is open to any performer or audience member over 21. Free entry to the after party at the Nile Bar comes with the purchase of a show ticket ( $10.00 ) or dancer registration.
Classes will be held both SATURDAY and SUNDAY. Jills class will be Saturday morning,while Mahalia, Marjhani, Monica Fernandez and Tabu will continue the corruption of your idea of traditional bellydancing on Sunday. Check your inhibitions at the door please! * See
